Embossed Gift Envelopes

Hey everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with some quick and easy embossed gift envelopes.  With school coming to an end that means it’s time to give teacher gifts.  Since we often give gift cards, I love to dress them up so these embossed gift envelopes are perfect.

Embossing folders are a great way to create texture and design.  I pulled out some kraft envelopes and, using the same embossing folder – Tall Trees – I’ve created 3 different embossed gift envelopes.

I lightly inked one side of the embossing folder with green ink and embossed the color into a panel of white cardstock, so the background has color while the embossed trees do not.  Some brown ink around the edges gives a finished look to the envelopes.

For this gift envelope, I inked the opposite side of the embossing folder and embossed a panel of white.  This time, I used the debossed side.  You can see how the ink is now embedded into the trees and the background panel is white.  Again, inking the edges with brown ink gives a nice finished look.

For this envelope, I placed the Embossing Folder Spacer on the embossing folder and embossed a panel of white so the center portion is not embossed.  I lightly inked the trees with several colors of ink and again inked the edges for a finished look.

I used Canvas Corp. Neutral Sampler Pack, Petaloo flowers and assorted ribbons to finish each embossed gift envelope.

So, what do you think?  Beside creating these for teachers, I can see creating these embossed gift envelopes for any number of occasions – think graduation, birthdays and more – with any number of embossing folders that are available in the store.

Thanks for stopping by today.
