Birthday Flowers

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today and I’m on a birthday roll.  It seems there is always a birthday around the corner, so why not create a bunch of assorted birthday cards so you’ll have them when you need them.  Then, there’s no need to rush to create something amazing!

Do you love embossing folders?  I do because they are just so versatile!  This beauty is the Damask Flourish Embossing Folder from Couture Creations.  It embosses beautifully, providing a nice crisp image each time you use it.  It’s the perfect background for my birthday card.

I inked over the embossed panel with Memento Inks in Angel Pink and Rose bud.  Then, I lightly ran London Fog over the entire panel.  I wrapped some sheer ribbon around the panel, tying a knot in the bottom, then matted it with gray cardstock.  I arranged 3 Petaloo burlap flowers around the ends of the ribbon. I lightly inked the flowers with Rose Bud Memento Ink.  Love how the ribbon ends poke through the flowers, don’t you?

The sentiment is from Heartfelt Creations – All Geared Up – Tarnished Gears .  I previously used this stamp on a card for a boy so I wanted to show how versatile the stamp is by inking it with Rose Bud Memento Ink to coordinate with my card.  So easy to create both masculine and feminine cards with this stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Beautiful way to use burlap for the flowers and putting ink colors on it. Just love embossing folders they add so much design to the card. Love the colors of pink.
