Sunflower Thank You

How do you feel about dry embossing?  Do you hate it or love it?  I love it.  The variety of embossing folders available to you is amazing.  Check out the CropStop store for all that is available.

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here with an embossed card using a gorgeous embossing folder from Couture Creations.  This embossing folder is 5 x 7″ , but since my card base is 5″ x 6 1/2″ I cut white cardstock to fit.  Using 2 colors of Memento Ink – Bamboo Leaves and Cottage Ivy,  I inked over the embossed portions, then removed the corners before placing it on green cardstock.

Once this panel was added to my card, I placed the large Petaloo Sunflower in the center.  But I realized, that it seemed just too plain.

After playing a bit, I decided to emboss and ink a second sheet of white cardstock and then cut out the center.  This would then give me a frame would I could place around the Sunflower with foam adhesives to give it some nice dimension.

The added layer really brought this card to life.

As a finisher, I added a simple sentiment and added Stickles in the flower centers as well as on the Sunflower petals.

Thanks for stopping by today.
