Once you’ve completed your folds you can a) glue the edges and make a tiny envelope to slip a mini note into or b) leave the edges loose and make it an opening heart shaped valentine! I tried it both ways and had so much fun decorating it up using products from the CropStop store!
For this mini Kraft Valentine I made an elegant band closure using the Petite Striplet – Jubilee die from Creative Expressions. (CropStop carries some gorgeous dies by this company — you’ll want to check them out!!) I added a beautiful floral arrangement using the Tim Holtz Tattered Floral Die, the Madeline Ornaments Lace Dies (from Couture Creations), and the 3D Rose Sizzix Die. Inside I decorated a pretty piece of pink cardstock with Washi Tape and a die cut sentiment from Momenta.
For my Second little Valentine I used a large red doily to create an envelope for my little note. This elegant looking love note features a mini white doily, a beautiful burlap bloom from Petaloo, Washi tape, and a sentiment cut from the Sizzix set: Framelets 3D Flower drop-ins.
My last tiny note is decorated with one of the mini Petaloo flowers layered over a little doily and tag die cut from Sizzix. A stip of Washi tape adorns the bottom of both the envelope and card and some pretty ric rac from Petaloo adds charm and dimension to the front. The sentiments are cut from black cardstock using a word die from Momento and a tiny punched heart accompanies the one inside.
