I recently made these Ghirardelli Treat Holders for the ladies in a card-making group I’ve started attending this year. I think they’d make great favors for a fall party or maybe for your Thanksgiving table. With a different color scheme and theme you could also use them for other seasons or events too! They’re super simple to make and fun to decorate!
Step One: Cut one large scallop circle with your Spellbinders Nestabilties dies
Step Two: Using your Scoring Board, Score lines a:
- 3/4 inch
- 1 inch
- 3 inches
- 3 1/4 inches
Step Three: Turn sideways and score at:
- 2 1/2 inches
- 2 3/4 inches
Step Four: Using sharp scissors, cut the bottom corners out using your score lines as a guide (see photo above)
Step Five: Fold (as shown) and decorate
I decorated my tiny treat containers with a strip of pretty lace (ribbon would work great as well) and a Heartfelt Creations Sunflower. The sunflower was stamped in Versamark ink on watercolor paper and embossed using copper embossing powder.
I used Distress Crayons (Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Fossilized Amber, Rusty Hinge) to color my flowers and added a tiny burlap string bow and button to the center. The leaf is die cut with the Fall Foliage Dies (Tim Holtz) and shaded with Twisted Citron/Mowed Lawn/Pine Needles Distress Crayons (Tim Holtz).
I’d love to see you’re take on these fun little treat holders, so stop by the CURRENT LINK PARTY and show off your creativity that uses products from companies Cropstop carries in the store!
