Linky Party #20 – Anything Goes

Hey there, all you crafty peeps!  Welcome back to the CropStop Blog for our September Anything Goes Challenge.  We’re SO glad you’re here, and we hope that you have a great time playing along with us this month.  We have some great inspiration, fabulous prize up for grabs, and a lucky winner to announce; so, let’s get started!

To get  you inspired for this month’s challenge, Karen Letchworth has created a fun card using lots of great CropStop products.  Her card started with a piece of Watercolor Paper that she cut down to the size of her card.  Next, she used a Mini Mister to spray her Watercolor Paper with water.  Once it was covered with some misted water, she released several drops of Alizarian Crismon Color Bursts by Ken Oliver.  This created the random red splashes of color you see on the background.   Karen wanted to add some texture to this, so she placed a Checkerboard Stencil over the background, and ran a layer of Prima Heavy Gesso over the stencil.  This gave the background a nice raised texture.  The final touch to the background was to touch the edges of the card with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Barn Door Red.

To decorate the card, Karen added a few embellishments including some Jilli Bean Soup ephemera, twine, and a Tim Holtz Paper Clip that she used to attach her little tag.  As you can see, Karen found LOTS of great CropStop products to use on her card.  That’s because CropStop carries a little bit of everything; and they have exactly what YOU need for your next project.  We look forward to seeing what you’ll create to share with us.

Here’s how our challenges work:

  • Create any new project(s) using any product sold at CropStop Store. It’s okay if you didn’t buy it from us – just have a look in the store and see if we have what you’re using (we probably do).  If it’s a company we carry, then it’s fine if we don’t necessarily have the particular color or style you use.  Please, no back-linking old projects.  Limit five (5) entries per month/challenge.   You’re welcome to share ANY project with us.
  • Link your project here in our linkup using this handy dandy linky tool below.   Link back to this post, and mention the CropStop Challenge in your post.
  • We’ll choose one random winner who will receive a prize pack of CropStop goodies!  The winner will be announced on the second Wednesday in October when our new challenge begins.

AND NOW….Our lucky winner from August’s challenge chosen by random.org is:

RobinC

Entry #12 – Robin C. – Robin created this gorgeous card using Tim Holtz Distress Inks and other CropStop products.   Thanks for playing along with us, Robin!

Winners:  Please email us at cropstop@cropstop.com within seven (7) days to claim your prizes by giving us your physical mailing address, and we will get your prize out to you right away.  In fairness to everyone, there are no exceptions to this rule.

OK……now it’s your turn.  We look forward to seeing all your great entries this month.  Thanks so much for linking up with us, and best of luck to everyone in the random draw.   We really want you to help us spread the word that CropStop is a great place to play along!

Have fun creating, and good luck!
