January Challenge – Linky Party #24

Hello everyone! Welcome back to CropStop for our first Anything Goes Challenge for 2017! I hope that you have a great time playing along with us this year using some of your favorite CropStop products. As always they’ll be a fabulous prize awarded to one lucky winner, so grab your supplies and let’s get started!

100_4074To get you inspired this month I’ve created two little mitten pockets from paper bags and some of my favorite CropStop products.  I started with a brown and white paper bag and stamped them with a background stamp from Inkadinkado  before sewing them together to form a pocket. I then added some crochet lace fancy trim across the top of each and two gorgeous Petaloo flowers.

100_4072Each flower is layered on top of the Waterlily Set, Madeline Ornamental Lace Dies, and the red one also has a piece of burlap tucked underneath.  I also tied some burlap string bows behind those gorgeous blooms.  A tiny banner with word punches from Momenta completes this project.

100_4076Inside each pocket is a little tag cut with my Sizzix tag die ,tied with more burlap string, and including two tiny blooms with pearl centers. page (3)

Here’s a quick little picture tutorial for you on creating your own banners without banner dies. All you need is: 1. paper strips and 2. square punches

Tip #1 : To make a layered banner, punch both pieces at the same time and then pull one back a little  Tip #2: Flip your punch over and cut from the bottom so you can keep things lined up properly

Now it’s your turn to share your beautiful creations with us!

Here’s how our challenges work:

  • Create any new project(s) using any product sold at CropStop Store. It’s okay if you didn’t buy it from us – just have a look in the store and see if we have what you’re using (we probably do).  If it’s a company we carry, then it’s fine if we don’t necessarily have the particular color or style you use.  Please, no back-linking old projects.  Limit five (5) entries per month/challenge.   You’re welcome to share ANY project with us.
  • Link your project here in our linkup using this handy dandy linky tool below.   Link back to this post, and mention the CropStop Challenge in your post.
  • We’ll choose one random winner who will receive a prize pack of CropStop goodies!   The WINNER will be announced the night before the new challenge starts. (New challenges always start on the second Wednesday of the month.)
  • We’ll also choose one entry as “Top Pick” and announce it along with the winner. Whoever is selected “Top Pick” will be eligible to do a guest design post in the future.

We look forward to seeing all your great entries this month.  Thanks so much for linking up with us, and best of luck to everyone in the random draw.  Grab our badge and help us spread the word that CropStop is a great place to play along!
