Hello and welcome to our May Challenge at CropStop! We sure enjoyed all the FABULOUS cards and projects you linked in our last challenge, and now we’re all set for another FUN challenge. We can hardly wait to see all the fabulous cards and projects you’ll be making and sharing with us this month. For those of you who played along in last month’s challenge, thank you SO much! And for those of you who are new to CropStop Challenges, we warmly welcome you. Here’s a SUPER FUN card that I created to hopefully inspire you all into playing along in this month’s “Use Your Stash”/Anything Goes Challenge:
This card was so fun to make, and it felt SO GOOD to use up really old products from DEEP inside my stash. I challenge you all to dig deep, use up something in your stash, and play along with us this month. If you’re interested in making some of these FUN rolled felt flowers using a Die-Namics Rolled Flower Die-Cut, then this is a perfect product for you. And CropStop has so many awesome dies from Die-Namics and oodles of other big name brands that you know and trust. The bigger flower (blue and green) at the top was made from two cuts of the rolled flower die, and the smaller flower at the bottom right uses just one color (one cut) of the rolled flower. They’re very easy to roll and put together. You can use a toothpick and some craft glue, and they roll up quite easily. Hot glue gun is another option, but these fun flowers are very easy to create. And you can use them to cut through felt, burlap, leather, fabric, paper, vellum, etc. They’re are WONDERFUL and so much fun to use. You know you want one. Why not treat yourself?
I started my card with some patterned paper and white cardstock that I glued together using my Tombow Permanent Mono Adhesive and then inked around the edges of my card using with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Fired Brick. I hot glued my rolled felt flowers along with several bows tied with Ivory Burlap String, Red Burlap String, and Parrot Lime Burlap String. On top of that, I added a button that’s tied with Red Burlap String. I also tied a length of the Ivory Burlap String into my other button in the other flower. There’s a perfect color of burlap string for every project, and it’s SO reasonably priced.
Here’s how our challenges work:
- Create any new project(s) using any product sold at CropStop Store. It’s okay if you didn’t buy it from us – just have a look in the store and see if we have what you’re using (we probably do). If it’s a company we carry, then it’s fine if we don’t necessarily have the particular color or style you use. Please, no back-linking old projects. Limit five (5) entries per month/challenge. This month’s “Use Your Stash” is just a suggestion. You’re welcome to share ANY project with us.
- Link your project here in our linkup using this handy dandy linky tool below. Link back to this post, and mention the CropStop Challenge in your post.
- We’ll choose one random winner who will receive a prize pack of CropStop goodies! The winner will be announced on the second Wednesday in June, when our new challenge begins.
AND NOW….Our lucky winner from April’s challenge chosen by Random.org is:
Entry #12 – Gail Scott Wasn’t her card just so sweet and summery? She used a fabulous Memory Box Die-Cut among other awesome embellishments. CropStop carries several Memory Box Dies and loads of die-cuts from other companies as well. Thanks for sharing this great card, Gail.
Winners: Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org within seven (7) days to claim your prizes by giving us your physical mailing address, and we will get your prize out to you right away. In fairness to everyone, there are no exceptions to this rule.
OK……now it’s your turn. We look forward to seeing all your great entries this month. Thanks so much for linking up with us, and best of luck to everyone in the random draw. We really want you to help us spread the word that CropStop is a great place to play along!
Have fun creating, and good luck!
