Guest Designer – Janis Woolbright

004ABWelcome back to the Cropstop blog! Today we have a lovely card from one of our April Guest Designers – Janis Woolbright of Her Peaceful Garden. Janis created a beautiful spring card to share with us today so let’s get started!

038ATo begin with, Janis dry embossed a piece of  Coredinations cardstock with the “Smooch” embossing folder and sanded it her with Core’dinations Sand-it Tool.  Next, she die cut her embossed piece with her Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle die and added some shimmer to certain parts of the design with Wink of Stella clear marker. Janis used  Altenew Crisp Inks (Ocean Wave) to stamp her sentiment from Waffle Flower Hello Spring on white cardstock and die cut it with My Favorite Things Stitched Oval die.

2 The embossed piece is layered on watercolor background  die cut with Winnie & Walter Pierced Rectangle die from the Essentials: Katharine set. She sponged her background with  Evergreen Bough distress ink and tied a pretty Baker’s twine bow around the left side.  The sentiment is adhered to the card using  Scotch Foam Mounting Tape and adorned with three pretty Petaloo flowers.

Thanks for sharing your talent with us, Janis!  I especially like the extra sparkle you added to your embossing using your Stella marker!

There’s still time for you to play along in our CURRENT CHALLENGE, so stop by and link up your projects that use Cropstop products! Hope to see you there!
