Welcome back to the Cropstop blog! Today we have a beautiful card created by our talented guest designer, Ann of Ann Greenspans’s Crafts. Ann is also sharing a mini tutorial for putting this card together:
“Hi Everyone! Today as a Guest Designer for Crop Stop, I wanted to share an idea on a different way to use your embossing folders. I basically first embossed a piece of light green foil cardstock with the Couture Creations embossing folder called Chiaro. I then dripped on a variety of alcohol inks, mostly greens and yellows. I allowed the inks to saturate the foiled cardstock right through to the opposite side as shown in the first photo below:
I then took a piece of white shimmer cardstock and pressed it onto the back side of the embossed cardstock (not the foiled side) to get a stamped image of the embossing. I kept rotating the top cardstock to get all the saturated areas stamped onto it. I then cut out a Spellbinder’s heart to use on another card. For today’s card, I wanted the negative that was left over after cutting out the heart. I attached it to a card 5 x 6 1/2″ card base with Scotch dimensional foam tape.
I manually cut the flowers out of the foiled cardstock from the front side using my Tim Holtz non-stick scissors. The flowers have a variety of greens and yellows mixed into the light green foiled top layer. I added some 8mm flat back pearls and cut out the words “With Love” from another Spellbinder’s die.
I want to thank Esther for allowing me to share this card with you and also thank Haylie-Jo at Crop Stop for sending me this wonderful embossing folder. “
