I’m so excited because I actually created a clean-and-simple card that I like! (smile) Usually, this style is very hard for me, and more often than not I don’t like the finished project!
Cropstop sells several different Zentangle stamps (and other Zentangle supplies), and I thought the best way to showcase this particular one was with lots of white space!
- Stamped the Zentangle leaf in Versamark watermark ink on watercolor paper
- Next, I embossed it in black embossing powder
- Using Distress Inks, I watercolored my leaf and cut it out
- I added a burlap string bow at the top of the stem
- I used the Christmas Quilt embossing folder (from Couture Creations) as the background for my colorful leaf.
- I popped the leaf up off my card a bit using Scotch Mounting Tape
- I distressed the edges just a bit and added a small sentiment (Stampendous) underneath.
Inside I added three colors of Washi Tape and a stamped sentiment from the Heartfelt Creations stamp set: All Occasions Sentiments.
There’s still two days left to enter our CURRENT CHALLENGE, so be sure to stop by and link up any project that uses products from the companies CROPSTOP carries in the store!
What a great idea! I love the colors you’ve used too. And the embossed background adds so much dimension to the card. Love this in so many ways!
This is so gorgeous! I love those colors and your card design.
Beautiful coloring of the leaf, like all the details, the embossing folder is a great background for it!
Wow, that is stunning and beautifully CAS. Hugz
