Fall is here and with it comes all things pumpkin! Today I’m sharing a fun Jack o Lantern card with you as well as a free template for creating the face.
- I started with a 4 x 4 inch piece of Kraft Cardstock
- I swiped some Spiced Marmalade Distress Stain over the front till I achieved the color I was looking for
- After heat setting with my embossing gun, I stamped a chevron background stamp (Heidi Swapp) in Rusty Hinge Distress Ink
- I cut a slightly larger piece of black cardstock (4 1/4 x 4 1/2 inch)
- I distressed the edges of both pieces
- Before adhering my top layer with my ATG gun, I tied a bow to the left side using olive and natural colored burlap string
- Using the pattern below, I cut the jack o lantern face out of black cardstock and created a faux stitching look with a white gel pen
- I popped the face up with Scotch Mounting tape and added two buttons on the bottom of each eye
- Over the bow I clipped a natural colored mini clothes pin
- I added a die cut leaf from the fall foliage die set by Tim Holtz
- To create my mini tags I cut a piece of white cardstock to size and punched the top of the bigger one with a Martha Stewart punch
- I stamped a sentiment and small pumpkin (Holiday Bliss – Julie Nutting) in Peeled Paint Distress Oxide and Rusty Hinge Distress Ink
- A strip of black and white zig zag Washi Tape
- A die cut leaf (Fall Foliage Thinlits – Tim Holtz)
- A bit of Spiced Marmalade Distress Crayon – both over the leaf and as a shadow around it
